Privacy policy

The short version

Lifetab does not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any of your personal data. Game state stays in your browser. Cloudflare Web Analytics collects anonymous page-view counts (no cookies, no personal identifiers). That's it.

What data is on your device

All state for the app is stored locally in your browser using the localStorage API. This includes:

• Your current life total
• Commander damage from each opponent
• Poison counters
• Mana pool
• Other counters (energy, experience, storm, tickets, charge, doom)
• Your settings (theme, danger alert, enabled counters, opponent count)
• A flag noting whether you've dismissed the iOS install hint

This data lives only in your browser, on your device. It's not synchronized, not backed up, not transmitted. Clearing your browser's storage for this site will erase the data.

What data is sent over the network

When you load the app, your browser fetches the static files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons) from lifetab.app over HTTPS. This is the same as loading any other website. We do not run any application code on a server.

The service worker (a piece of code that lets the app work offline) caches these files in your browser so the app can load without a network connection.

The only other network request is to Cloudflare's analytics endpoint. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-respecting service that counts page views without cookies, without personal identifiers, and without fingerprinting. They see: the URL of the page, the referrer (if any), the country (from IP, then discarded), the user agent, and the response status. They do not see your IP address stored, your game state, or anything that identifies you as a person. Learn more at cloudflare.com/web-analytics.

Cookies

We don't set any cookies. Your browser may set its own cookies for the service worker, which is standard browser behavior outside our control.

Third parties

One: Cloudflare, which hosts Lifetab and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics (page-view counts, no personal data). No advertising networks. No analytics providers beyond that. No error reporting services. No fonts from Google Fonts. The functional network requests are between your browser and lifetab.app; the only third-party request is the anonymized analytics ping.

Children's privacy

Lifetab doesn't knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Cloudflare Web Analytics is anonymized and doesn't identify individuals. If you have questions about a child's data, contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change anything in this policy (we don't expect to), we'll update the date at the top of this page. Major changes will also be noted in the changelog.
